Physician Assistant

Physician assistant (chapter 630.015, 633.107 of NRS).

Nevada Physician Assistants (P.A.s), like Nevada physicians, may be licensed either as to provide services under the supervision of an M.D. (allopathic medicine) or an D. O. (osteopathic medicine). As with the supervising physician, the physician assistant must be licensed by the appropriate licensing board. According to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, there were 826 Allopathic Physician Assistants licensed to practice in the State of Nevada in 2016. According to the Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine, there were 102 Osteopathic Physician Assistants licensed to practice in the State of Nevada in 2016.
